A night of folk music- back to the 60's

Nancy and I attended a wonderful evening of folk music at Carilyn Vice's house. It was organized by Carilyn, Nicki Birkett, and Nicki's friend Jerry. The two singers, Carol McComb and Kathy Larisch were big names in folk music of the 60's and 70's. There were about 30- 50 people there.

Carilyn's wonderful watercolors were hanging on the walls. I love her paintings. She often chooses such mundane subjects but gives them such importance. She teaches watercolor and I've taken a workshop with her. The painting of the dishes in the dishwasher is hers. Also the painting of the apples on the wall behind Kathy, Carilyn and Carol.

Nicki and Carilyn are also musicians and singers. Nicki plays the guitar and Carilyn the dulcimer.
