The hedgehog tree

Did you know hedgehogs grew on trees?
We saw these on our noon- day walk.

Well, who'd a thunk it? Aren't they quirky? But why not link to Sepia Saturday anyway, their pics don't have to be sepia, nor old to qualify as interesting! :)

hi barbara those are wild cucumber they are a native species they are a vine that are crawling up the tree they are poisenous when the pods dry they burst open and thousands of seeds come flying out and can fly 6 feet or more if you look close at the little stringers they can curl one way then change direction and curl the other to assist in climbing cool and native beth cobb
