Nancy's new art project

Nancy is really good at collage. Hers always have a little twist of humor besides just being attractive.
These are done on the inside of vintage book covers. We have millions of old books, several in very poor condition-just begging to be put to some good use. A lot of them have writing on them from the previous owners. This just adds to the allure. We're going to sell them on etsy. Here's some examples:

Cat on a hot tin roof.

Well, not exactly a roof, not tin, not too hot... but high up and scary!

She kept looking like she wanted to jump down. You can just barely see me taking the picture (in the reflection) and Nancy looking like "what's the big worry?" It seemed a long way down to me!
You can also see Tootie in the house wondering "what's going on and why aren't I out there?)

Fallbrook Art Assoc. meeting and more Zentangles

Michael Steirnagle was the guest demonstrator. It was fun to watch him paint. Helpful hints all along the way.

Zentangles
My flower pounding experiment. Pick some flowers, place them on watercolor paper, cover with another piece of paper and pound with a hammer. It didn't come out very well so I "tangled" over the top of it.

Empty Nest Syndrome

Getting pretty crowded!

One bird left the nest. I put it back. Why can't I ever let Nature take it's course? It jumped back out. I had to leave for a breakfast date. I worried all through breakfast. When I got home it still wasn't there. I hope it flew away and is O.K.

Four left in the nest.

Three more have left. Now only one remains. Later I saw this one fly away with it's parents.

All gone!
Left with a really messy empty nest.
I'm going to miss them...but not the worry!
